This is basicall a blog of anything that catchs my interest. Which is quite a lot. It normally runs on a queue so if I'm posting and don't reply to you straight away it's because of that.

Lost Underwater Lion City: Rediscovery of China’s ‘Atlantis

Qiandao Lake is a man-made lake located in Chun’an County, China, where archeologists have discovered in 2001 ruins of an underwater city. The city is at a depth of 26-40 meters and was named “Lion City”. There would have been 290 000 people living in this city during more than 1300 years. Touristic expeditions are projected. A diving into Chinese Antiquity in the next part of the article.

slightly-oblivvyous:

One of my dear friends has been struggling with a string of low spoons days lately, which inspired me to create this spoons meter so they could quickly and wordlessly convey how they were feeling that day. It works on a scale of 0 to 5, where five spoons means: “Hey, I’m feeling good! Let’s go out and see people and kick ass and crush the patriarchy!” and zero spoons means: “Spoon levels critically low - DO NOT ENGAGE”
I figured this might be useful for other spoonies struggling with chronic illness or disability, so I’m making it freely available! The meter itself is small enough to fit nicely in a blog description or anywhere else you may wish to conspicuously display your current spoons level.

You can download the full set here. It’s totally free to use (although, of course, credit and a note to let me know would be lovely!) Even if you don’t need this, please consider reblogging in case one of your followers might find it useful.
May all your spoons be polished and your silverware drawer be full! =3

have you guys seen this yet?

RAVEN CAM GUYS RAVEN CAM RAAAAVEN CAAAAAMMM!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Huh, I thought ravens were much bigger than that? At any rate… RAVEN CAM!

Common ravens range from 950 - 1600g (2 - 3.5lbs), roughly the size of a red-tailed hawk, for scale.  The nests are quite large!  I’m sure it’s just the camera and angle that’s making them seem small to you, plus the huge nest size that is dwarfing them in the images.
We really, really want to get a crow cam going, but we haven’t had the funding to do it in the past :(

karanan look!
